Most of you probably saw this coming: after 26 seasons – or in football terms, about 780 matches on the sidelines – I am saying goodbye as a volunteer from our wonderful club.

It all started in 1999 when I began working as a website builder. After creating four websites, I ended up on the sidelines as a photographer, and for the past 15 years, I’ve happily filmed matches for video analysis.

Over the years, I’ve seen countless players, coaches, and colleagues come and go. I still keep in touch with many of them, and I treasure that a lot. I look back on my time as a volunteer with a big smile. Starting next season, I will exchange my camera for a seat in the stands – a different view, but my involvement remains just as strong. VVV is in my heart, and that won’t change.

Thanking everyone personally for 26 seasons is a daunting task, but at the bottom of this website, I will thank a few people who were especially important to me (in alphabetical order).

And who knows… if anyone ever has an extra ticket for a great match (I’ll, of course, have to hand in my all-access pass), think of me 😉. Now I have a bit more free time!
